Probate

Probate can be a complicated and emotional process, often needing help from a qualified lawyer.

Guardianship Lawyer

Guardianship

Guardianship appoints someone to make decisions for a minor or incapacitated person, while conservatorship manages financial affairs. It's essential to engage a lawyer skilled in these areas to protect all parties' rights. We assist with applications, court appearances, and responsibilities of guardians and conservators, ensuring compliance with state laws and positive results.

Conservatorship

When persons are concerned that a beloved family member or a friend is no longer able to meet their daily needs, a conservator of person and/or conservator of estate may have to be considered.

There are two types of conservators:
Conservator of person-a person who helps with personal affairs, who can ensure that someone’s basic needs for food, shelter and medical can be met
Conservator of estate-a person provides someone with assistance with finances

A family member can serve in one or both positions, or a court can appoint someone else, such as an attorney, to serve as a conservator of person and/or estate.

Persons have a right to file to have a conservator appointed and the person who is the subject of the matter has the right to contest the appointment of a conservator.

Our firm has extensive experience representing those who are seeking to have the court appoint conservators of person and estate, as well as the person for whom the action is being filed.
